Choosing The Right Affiliate Program

Most times I have to answer questions such as merchant, "How many sales are done through Affiliates? or "How many active members do you have?". These questions are valid and true, but in essence, that come from across the company: the marketing subsidiary of the ability to select, promote and sell products.

Affiliate marketing is really a 90/10 business - only 10% of members actually sell something. The reasons behind are very complex and very difficult to discuss here, but the most common reason is because members of the entry for "enrichment" programs, or (and this is the best alternative) for generic and not specific products.

So here we are, in the Choose the program right to participate. If you work in sales for a company, well, you have to sell their products, good or bad. Affiliate Marketing really gives you the opportunity to promote and sell the best products on the market.

While this may not be ideal for each process of affiliation, there are several generic measures that can be followed:

1. Make a list of products or at least use

I can almost see that you wonder what this is. Let's see. Open your browser, Google for "affiliate programs". See what I mean? You can not decide which product to promote and sell. Now, if you have the "own use" list, at least have an idea about some products that we could talk about the real experience.

And that's much better than just browsing at random and choose a product that has never heard of. You can go ahead and do some product categories. I am sure that I do not have to talk about the quality of products (only buy the best quality, or at least better value for money, right?).

2. Choose your "category experts"

Of "own use" list, what products do they really love? Or the best teacher? What makes you an expert? I bet you have some great products you use every day, or purchased and used to enjoy. Not many, but a few. This list will be reduced a little, so do not cut everything else, just a "category experts"

3. Look for the affiliate programs for products on your list

Now that you have the / List of products used and the "class expert", you can begin to find out if they are sold through affiliates. It is likely that many of the products will do, while others must go to the recycle bin for later.

Once you find affiliate programs for products, find the conditions that provide: commissions, payment date, conditions of membership and issues. Remove the products of that "nasty programs, now has its own / employee / non-expert and unpleasant / no unpleasant categories.

4. Affiliates of competition, demand and conversion rate

We have several filters that can be applied:

• subsidiary competition (just Google to see how many other affiliates are promoting the products selected and how good they are)

• demand (searches, interest in them)

• conversion rate (based on some assumptions about how many visitors actually buy something)

Great, we own / used / no unpleasant / low competition / high demand and sales of products and expert / no unpleasant / low competition / high demand and sales categories. These would make the "right to join the program." I would advice to start with "the experts", but what they do not make mistakes affiliates.

We'll also talk about a lot of tools to analyze your keywords, search terms, conversion calculators and more or less all the tools software affiliate marketing knows that these days. That would be another article, in accordance to your RSS reader of the articles to come.
