Affiliate Merchants Mistakes

Like any member of the Network Coordinator, I've done my share of affiliate marketing before changing places at the table. I bought dinner from time to time, paid for gas and perhaps some bills.

I did not make a "superstar", but actually helps in laying out some of the things that matter most to members and a few mistakes that traders and makers.

Of course, it could go into detail and lay out some very specific errors, but it would be much more interesting to give some general thoughts, because you can not fix things if you do not have the bigger picture and the general feeling of what to do .

People seem to like and enjoy the lists, so here is my

The 5 Mistakes to Affiliates

1. No help affiliates make sales

I am quite surprised to see a large number of sales managers and members who do not really believe in the sales of affiliates. You heard me right. The very people who must establish, develop and maintain any sales channel for their products to understand losing Affiliate Sales. Affiliates are an outside sales force, most of the sales channel. If they do not understand affiliate sales, then they will not lift a finger to help affiliates make sales.

They:

• Do not send marketing materials

• Do not send feedback

• do not communicate their knowledge sales

• Do not check the affiliate sites and ways to improve

Actually, no.

Now, really, it is very difficult to understand a subsidiary of a product, everything you learn the features, see your strong / weak points insightful then write the contents on it. Even more difficult to find the best ways to promote, use the marketing jargon. " And if the affiliate manager does not help, then who else?

2. Leaks unaffiliated members and payment of

That is a really fun (and not so fun for the members who are not paid). It is very sad to see Affiliated Managers looking for ways not to pay their membership fees legitimately earned, based on the misconception that affiliates do nothing for their commission. I think members have an increased risk that an "employee of commerce." They work to promote and sell a product, but you never know if it will work and for how long. It is not about fixing the payment, some days are better, some days are not so good, but they have to pay the bills.

If the fact that the work awaiting their right to pay the commissions is not enough for some managers to pay affiliate commissions, then, is even more simple trigger: if they are not paid, they leave.

3. Setting up programs and unattractive commissions

Ah, it seems that everything is related to sales managers and members who do not believe in the sales of affiliates. I hear this every week: "I do not want to give members more than 5%." "If you want to be my affiliates, who must abide by my rules," we will cut the commissions. "

For participants, it is necessary to "sell" your affiliate program to them. It is pleasant, easy to use and the benefits.

4. Poor affiliate support

This includes not responding to emails and requests in general. Every member is different and has different needs, a special mechanism for sale. Not much to say here, but I really hate not getting any response from a real good question, and most members feel the same.

5. Lack the human touch

Finally we reach the only thing that really matters, and could be a catalyst for the subsidiary sales: real, human contact with affiliates. Members are part of its business, its partners, and yet never talk to them? (at least those sales)

I'm not sure how many members must always be contacted personally by the Administrator of members, but is a strong reason to build loyalty and the passage of gas to make some sales.

Sure, newsletters, notices and all this create some sort of communication, but nothing can compare with that call to "get in touch." Members are "lone wolves" - any human contact can make a difference in a boring life. Or let me put it this way. How many affiliate managers know something, nothing personal about their affiliates?

Now that I have made the list of top 5, it's time for a little bonus:

The Mother of all errors Comerciantes Affiliates

You're trying to run or manage an affiliate program without being an affiliate marketing, even for a day. Yes, you heard me, there are traders who never tried to be Affiliate members. This really makes your program and message to the market a little strange. How can you say, advice and help affiliates to sell your product if you do not know your business? How can we improve, promote and grow your program without knowing the driving forces of its partners, affiliates? How do you feel the pain of the participants, the needs and not a wish, even for a little while?
